Dear Supporter

It's wonderful to see the blossoms of spring and the renewal that this season brings.

I am sure you will be inspired by Lyn Jones's story below. Having her say she wants people to feel more at ease about coming into the hospice, and that it's not just ‘that place' to go and die, reminded me of our hospice motto Living Every Moment.

Last May, Lyn and her husband Wayne lived every moment of their final days together in Cranford. I hope you find their story encouraging.

Thanks to our valued supporters, Cranford Hospice was able to provide free care and support for 675 people and their loved ones in the last financial year.

A gift from you helps keep our services free for all hospice patients and their families as they face their last few months, weeks and days together. I hope you will once again support your local hospice.

After death: finding a "new normal"

Lyn and Wayne Jones

Lyn Jones and her family are finding a "new normal" after the death of loved husband and father Wayne. When Wayne died, he was pain free and had peace at last. His new journey began, and one also began for Lyn and her family.

Lyn shares her story

Kiana - the big dog with a big heart

She's as tall as a child and heavier than some adults. Kiana is a Newfoundland dog making friends with patients and visitors as part of a Pet Therapy Programme at Cranford. "The dog is the one who does the work," says trainer Gerry Morris.
